What you need to know about the conference!

Where will the conference take place?


The conference will take place in Vilnius, Lithuania. As our partner, Vilnius University will host us at their Institute of International Relations and Political Science. Adress: Vokiečių str. 10, LT-01130, Vilnius




You are from Berlin and want to travel with style and economically friendly?


Awesome, simply join our bus ride! The bus will leave Berlin on Thursday, 26. March at approximately 6pm. We will then arrive to Vilnius on Friday and enjoy two days of Vilnius and Conference. On Sunday, somewhat after breakfast, we will get back on our bus and return to Berlin. Sounds like a plan? Cool! You only need to do two things:

  1. Get a Ticket for 40€
  2. Sign our Code of Conduct
The ticket sale will start on Monday, 17. February 2020 at 12:00 o'clock @Hertie's Cafeteria. Tickets will be sold daily until the end of February. Be quick: Only a limited amount of seats available.




Where and when can I buy my ticket to join the bus?


Tickets will be sold daily @Hertie's Cafeteria between 12:00 and 14:00 o'clock between Monday, 17. February 2020 - Friday, 28. February 2020. Be quick: Only a limited amount of seats available.




How much will I have to spend for the conference?


Good news: The conference itself will be for free! If you intend to take the bus with us, that will cost you 40€. Accomondation in Vilnius starts at 10€/night. Please remeber also that food and drinks will only be provided throughout Saturday as well as some light snacks on Friday during the kickoff.




Will accomodation be provided?


No. We will not be able to cover your accomdation in Vilnius. However, local hostels start at 10€/night. There is also a wide range of options of Beds & Breakfast, Airbnb and hotels. Please find below a list of suggestions for hostels, we would advise you to book as soon as possible. - Hostelgate: 6 beds dorms starting at 8 E/ person per night. 0.8 km from city center.
- Downtown Forest Hostel & Camping: 8 beds rooms/ dorms starting at 11.50 E/ person per night. 0.9 km from city center. - Hostel Jamaika: 10 beds dorms or 4 beds private rooms starting at 11 E / person / per night. 0.8 km from city center.
- Pogo Hostel: 6 beds dorms or twin rooms starting at 14.45 E/ person per night. 0.4 km from city center. - 25 Hours Hostel: 5 beds dorms or 3 beds private rooms starting at 13.4 E/ person per night. 1 km from city center.




Will there be food provided or will I need my old lunch-box again?


As indicated in our program, food and drinks will be provided during the Saturday event (Snacks, Coffee, Lunch) as well as some light appetizers on Friday evening. However, there will be no dinner served on either of the two days. As our local partners have kindly provided us with some recommendations near by the Institute, please find below a list of restaurants to spark some ideas for local dining and coffee. Restaurants:

  • Piano Man/Gringo bar (You should try the best in town cold beetroot soup)

  • Jurgis ir Drakonas (one of the best pizza places in town)

  • RoseHip (Vegan food)

  • Queensberry (local food and wine)

  • Kitchen

  • Zatar (vegetarian/vegan food)

  • Talutti

  • Grey

  • KAS KAS

  • Briusly

  • Leičiai (traditional Lithuanian food)

  • Grill London

Coffee places:

  • Caffeine

  • Huracan

  • Elska Coffee

  • Strangelove

  • Backstage

Please note that some of these restaurants are pretty small, so they wouldn’t be able to accommodate a lot of people.
