Who can participate in this event?
The event is open for students and alumni from the Hertie School, IE University, and other professional and master’s students.
What is included in the ticket?
The ticket currently entry to the conference for all three days and lunch during the conference.
Does this cover the cost of my accommodation, food, and travel?
No. The ticket only covers the entry and lunch for each day. The cost of travel and accommodation will NOT be included for those not presenting.
I am not a student of Hertie School, IE University, or another CIVICA Partner Institution. Can I still participate?
Yes! Academics and students are encouraged to book a ticket for EPPC 2024.
I am a CIVICA Student and need a travel and accommodation stipend. Can I apply?
Please check with your home institution.
At the moment, the EPPC 2024 cannot offer financial assistance to members of the CIVICA network, but some institutions may offer stipends for travel to academic and professional conferences for their students.
If I am a Hertie Student attending the conference, will I have an excused absence since it is an academic event?
No. Unfortunately, the Examination Office will not officially mandate excused absences for EPPC 2024 attendees, so the student must plan accordingly and use one of the two allowed absences for the semester.
For Hertie Students, how will I know that my spot for EPPC 2024 has been confirmed?
First, you will have to secure your ticket via Eventbrite once it goes live.
Your seat will be confirmed only AFTER we receive your receipts for accommodation and transportation. Once the deadline passes and you have not yet confirmed your spot, we reserve the right to offer your place to someone on the waiting list.
I booked a ticket, but I can no longer come.
